Foreign Minister's Reaction to Macron's Recent Remarks on the Causes of Unrest in France Mr. President, it is too late to shift the blame. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, reacted in a post on the social media platform X to recent remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron, who described the high fuel prices resulting from the US war against Iran as the cause of the recent unrest in France. Attaching Macron's message to Trump expressing support for the war against Iran, Araghchi wrote: Mr. Macron, you paved the way for this situation when you assured the US President that you welcomed the crimes committed against Iranians. It is far too late to shift the blame and hold a war responsible when people like you played a role in bringing it about. The people of France are demanding fundamental changes, including guarantees of the freedom of assembly. Mr. President, listen to the voice of France's future.
